My favorite lighthouse is on Sandy Neck. As kids we would go to Sandy Neck beach every weekend. It was a highlight of the summer when we would go all the way to the point where the lighthouse was. Now my husband and I go there several times a summer. Some times we bring the kids and go down on the beach. In the coolness of the mornings, we set up in the dunes protected from the wind where it is warm and cozy. By mid morning it is too hot to be in the dunes and we move down by the shoreline. I don't think I'll ever tire of going to Sandy Neck beach.

As you might know...I spent all my summer days at Sandy Neck. I still think of it as "MY" beach and a place I always go to in my heart.
Can I hitch a ride out to the lighthouse this summer??? :)
